Software Engineering Manager
UL Research Institutes is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to design, develop, and maintain high quality web applications that support the Chemical Insights Research Institute's mission of advancing human and environmental health.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers.
- Collaborate with scientists, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and other developers.
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient web applications.
- Design and implement APIs and manage database queries.
- Oversee DevOps pipelines, cloud deployments, and application monitoring.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior staff.
- Communicate project status and technical challenges to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate has advanced technical expertise in both front-end and back-end frameworks, strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in full stack development. A degree in computer science or a related field with relevant professional experience is required.
