Role Summary
As Principal Product Designer Growth & Discovery, you will lead a design team to create innovative experiences that help learners discover, evaluate, and engage with Udemy content on web and mobile platforms. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Design, you will also drive high-impact design work and mentor your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on design leadership for Growth & Discovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high-quality experiences.
- Drive end-to-end design from research to delivery.
- Evolve design systems and operationalize team processes.
- Lead and mentor design teams while championing user-centered design.
- Contribute to recruiting and onboarding new design talent.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Over 10 years in product, UX, interaction and visual UI design.
- 5+ years in leadership and mentorship roles.
- Strong portfolio with hands-on design and innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in Figma, design systems, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Familiarity with growth design, funnel optimization, and discovery experiences.

Work Location
This is an in-office role based in San Francisco, CA with scheduled office days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexible days on Monday and Friday.
