Job Overview

The On-Call Visual Instructional Designer will join our Video Production team to enhance the visual creation of Udacity’s course content. In this role, you will translate technical content into engaging visuals, collaborate with remote designers and technical content developers, and drive the creative visual direction of course videos.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical content into visual formats by reviewing approved scripts.
  • Provide guidance on design types such as icons, gifs, AI-generated visuals, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with Technical Content Developers on visual representations.
  • Clearly communicate design vision to diverse teams.
  • Propose and implement process improvements.
  • Design complex charts, graphs, and data-driven visuals.

What We Value

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as an Instructional Designer.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Suite, and Generative-AI tools.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong people management and creative skills.

It’d Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience with online learning platforms.
  • Adobe AfterEffects experience.
  • Basic knowledge in computer science, AI, or data science.

Location & Compensation

This position is remote with the candidate based in Egypt. The hourly rate can go up to EGP 300.00/hr, with compensation details provided per project.
