About the Role

As a Data Analyst Technical at UBS, you will support daily and periodic index calculations, validation and distribution tasks including benchmark setup, maintenance, reconciliation, and deactivation within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will respond to internal requests to clarify, verify, reconcile, and control security, index, benchmark, and performance data ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily index calculations and benchmark maintenance.
  • Validate and reconcile static and time series data.
  • Perform business analysis and define data management processes.
  • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and oversee production releases.
  • Collaborate with data vendors, operations teams, and stakeholders.

Your Team

You will work within the Data Services team in the Asset Management Chief Data Office. The team supports the UBS Asset Management Division with high accuracy and timely data delivery, providing 24x6 coverage from locations including Chicago, Zurich, Krakow, Singapore, and Pune.

Your Expertise

  • University degree in Business Management, Finance, or IT.
  • Solid knowledge of benchmarks, indices, asset classes and financial instruments.
  • Expertise in data manipulation and analysis tools (Excel/VBA/Macro, SQL) and ETL tools such as Alteryx.
  • Experience in reconciliation, root cause analysis and complex troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of market data platforms (Rime, Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv) and basic scripting (Python, Shell).
  • Nice to have: Experience with PowerBI, SimCorp Dimension, Power Automate, and index licensing.
