About the Role
UBS is seeking a Data Analyst Technical who is curious about financial instruments, benchmarks, and indices used within the Asset Management lifecycle. This role supports daily and periodic index calculations, validation and distribution tasks including benchmark setup, maintenance, reconciliation, and deactivation within agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform index calculations and data validations.
- Manage benchmark setup and system reconciliations.
- Analyze and control static and time series data.
- Document standard operating procedures and conduct UAT.
- Collaborate with data vendors, operations teams, and stakeholders.
Your Team
Working within the Data Services team under the Asset Management Chief Data Office, you will support day-to-day processes, ensuring accurate benchmark, index, and analytics data delivery. The team provides 24x6 coverage with members in Chicago, Zurich, Krakow, Singapore, and Pune.
Your Expertise
- University degree in Business Mgmt, Finance or IT.
- Strong knowledge of benchmarks, indices, and asset classes.
- Proficiency in Excel/VBA/Macro, SQL, and ETL tool (Alteryx).
- Experience with market data platforms like Rime, Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv.
- Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell.
Additional Qualifications
Experience with PowerBI, SimCorp Dimension, Power Automate or Power Apps is a plus. Candidates should be intellectually curious, accountable, self-starters, and capable of explaining technical topics to various stakeholders.
