CD Trader

About the Role

The CD Funding Desk is a leading CD underwriter and distributor of Brokered CDs in the market. This role involves managing the deal closing process to ensure all deals settle without issues. You will collaborate with trading desks, sales teams, and operations to ensure trade issues and settlements are resolved timely. Your responsibilities will include assisting with trade entry, corrections, and research to minimize operational risks, coordinating wire payments to Depository Institutions, and covering the Secondary trading book.

You will manage and facilitate Financial Advisor (FA) trade inquiries and order flow. A key aspect of this role is collaborating with business stakeholders to identify opportunities that enhance revenue and market reach. You will also support the onboarding of new clients and ensure compliance with internal risk and control policies. Contribute to the growth of the desk through proactive client engagement with Selling Group Members and prospecting of Bank Issuers. A crucial part of the role is managing risk on both single-name and broader book basis. You will work closely with senior members of the team to develop and execute funding strategies that attract and maintain bank clients.

Your Team

You will work collectively with the trading desk to manage deal flow and inventory to ensure each deal closes and settles seamlessly. Your efforts will help expand distribution capabilities and grow depository institution coverage.

Your Expertise

• Candidates are required to hold professional licenses: Series 7 and Series 66.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income products including CDs, Treasuries, Corporate Bonds.
• Strong appetite for improving trading workflow via digitalization and automation.
• Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel and Bloomberg API.
• Strong Knowledge of VBA, Python, or PowerBI/Tableau Software.
• Ability to formulate, analyze data, and perform quantitative analysis from large datasets.
• Ability to review and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate well under pressure, be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail.
