About The Role

Uber is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Data Analyst to join the Global Strategy Analytics team. In this role, you will shape the future of Uber by providing top-quality business performance reporting, targets, and deep analyses for data-driven decision making. Working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Finance, and more, your insights and recommendations will impact global change.

What You'll Do

  • Lead CommOps' Monthly Business Review Insights generation for the Mobility business.
  • Develop executive-level communications and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to unpack insights and recommend solutions.
  • Translate ambiguous questions into data-driven recommendations.
  • Understand business performance and share strategic insights with senior leadership.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Identify, plan, and execute projects and root cause analyses to improve processes.
  • Mentor and uplevel junior analysts on the team.

Basic and Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 7 years (L5) or 5 years (L4) work experience in finance/business/data analytics, advanced SQL skills, experience with Tableau or similar tools, and a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree, technical proficiency in analytics/reporting tools, experience in Python, customer insights, high-visibility project leadership, excellent communication skills, strong storytelling, and data extraction and pipeline building expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

For US-based roles in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA, the base salary range is USD 162,000 to 180,000 annually. Bonus programs, equity awards, and other benefits are available. Further details can be found on Uber's benefits page.
