About The Role
We're seeking a 2026 Product Design Intern Motion Designer Illustrator to join Uber's Design Org's Expression Team this summer in San Francisco. This role is firmly within product design, distinct from marketing or brand teams. You will be instrumental in shaping the product's feel through motion, illustration, and expressive details, bringing interfaces to life.
What You'll Do
- Create motion and/or illustrative assets for product experiences.
- Explore interaction, micro-motion, transitions, and expressive visuals in UI.
- Collaborate closely with product designers and design systems partners.
- Translate concepts into clear, engaging visual stories inside the product.
Who You Are
- Currently studying Motion Design, Illustration, or a related design field.
- Possess a strong foundation in motion, illustration, or both, with a required interest in product.
- Curious about product design and digital experiences.
- Comfortable iterating, taking feedback, and exploring ideas quickly.
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Figma and AI tools.
- A portfolio showcasing interaction design, UI motion, product design, or design systems work.
