CDI Specialist

At UASI, we're driven by a mission to improve the quality and accuracy of clinical documentation through expert CDI consulting. As we continue to grow our service offerings, we’re looking for experienced and motivated Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) professionals to join our dedicated team.
In this fully remote role, you'll collaborate with client facilities from your home office, reviewing and interpreting clinical documentation to develop physician queries that enhance documentation clarity, completeness, and accuracy of the medical record.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze medical records to ensure documentation supports quality care and appropriate reimbursement.
- Formulate compliant, clinically sound physician queries.
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote accurate and complete documentation.
- Stay current on industry regulations and coding guidelines, including CMS and the Inpatient Prospective Payment System.
What We’re Looking For:
- Certification: CCDS or CDIP required (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Clinical Background: RN or BSN strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of CDI experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and staff.
- Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using MS Office, email, VPNs, virtual machines, two-factor authentication, and video conferencing tools (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
