Role Overview

As a Staff ML Engineer/Applied Scientist at Typeface, you will build machine learning models and systems that power our generative AI platform. Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers, you will drive technical designs from conceptualization through to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define roadmaps for generating text, image, audio, and video content with brand personalization and safety.
  • Own delivery of technical initiatives from design to launch.
  • Implement processes for training, fine-tuning, testing, and operating generative AI models.
  • Investigate and prototype innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve products and drive growth.
  • Establish and monitor data-driven metrics at feature, product, and company levels.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years in designing, building, and scaling ML systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ (or equivalent).
  • Experience with ML training/inferencing for real-world solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AzureML, GCP Vertex, AWS Sagemaker, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on deployment and tuning of generative AI models.
  • Experience in high-growth startups or tech companies.
  • Research publications in ML, vision, or language applications.

Location & Benefits
