Job Description
About the Role
As an Account Executive at Tyler Technologies, you will be responsible for achieving or surpassing sales quotas by selling Tyler software products and services within a defined territory. This role involves developing a deep understanding of Tyler's offerings, building strong relationships with target audiences, and managing complex sales cycles from lead generation to close.
You will generate new sales within your assigned geographic region, travel to customer locations and trade shows, assist with RFP responses, and actively contribute to the company's success by meeting annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Tyler products and services to effectively relate them to targeted audiences.
- Successfully cultivate relationships with targeted audiences to drive product and service sales.
- Generate new sales within an assigned geographic region for specific products and services.
- Manage long and complex sales cycles, overseeing the process from initial lead generation through to closing the sale.
- Travel to customer sites for meetings and presentations, and attend relevant trade shows and on-site demonstrations.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Consistently meet or exceed a pre-set annual sales quota.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous sales experience within the software industry is a mandatory requirement.
- Prior experience working with a sales CRM system is essential.
- Must possess a strong competitive drive and a results-oriented approach to sales.
- Connectivity and previous engagement with local government entities is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience are a must.
- Must be a self-starter who also functions effectively as a team player.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with both clients and internal employees.
- Proficiency with general computer applications and MS Office products is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
