About the Account Executive Role at Tyler Technologies
Tyler Technologies is seeking an Account Executive to significantly impact revenue by selling enterprise software solutions to public sector agencies. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with prospective clients and expand market share within an assigned territory, focusing on Tyler’s Public Safety products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Tyler’s public safety products and services, understanding their relevance to target audiences.
- Successfully cultivate relationships with prospective clients to drive product and service sales.
- Generate sales for the full suite of Public Safety products, including law enforcement records, dispatching for police, fire, and EMS, to agency prospects within the assigned territory.
- Manage long and complex sales cycles, from initial lead generation through to closing sales.
- Maintain and manage accurate sales forecasts and activity reports utilizing a CRM system.
- Travel approximately 60% of the time to customer locations, trade shows, and on-site demonstrations.
- Proactively manage the sales cycle to ensure timely responses and actions.
- Communicate effectively with both internal staff and existing clients.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Meet a pre-set annual sales quota.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience selling enterprise software solutions, particularly to Public Sector agencies, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience selling Public Safety software applications, such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, and Mobile solutions, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 60% consistently within the assigned region.
- Possess a strong competitive drive and a results-oriented approach to sales.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both clients and internal employees.
- Prior experience utilizing a sales CRM system for managing forecasts and opportunities.
- Preferred location in Colorado or Arizona.
