About the Role

As a Senior UX Designer - Design System at Twitch, you will lead the evolution and maintenance of Twitch's Design System with a focus on mobile design, human system interaction practices, and visual standards. Your work will impact millions of streamers and viewers, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our cross-platform live streaming service.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to maintain the design system and product visual language.
  • Lead creation and refinement of mobile UI components and templates.
  • Document visual language principles and guidelines for design and engineering teams.
  • Partner with Creative and UX teams to align product visuals with brand identity.
  • Facilitate design system workshops and contribute to the strategic roadmap.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance and inclusive design practices.
  • Participate in design reviews and QA processes for consistent implementations.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in building design systems, particularly within tech or digital product environments.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft and systematic thinking.
  • Proven capability in cross-functional collaboration and clear communication of visual decisions.
  • Deep understanding of design system principles, governance, and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects (or equivalent), and knowledge of iOS/Android operating systems.
  • Experience with design system documentation platforms such as Storybook or Zeroheight.
  • Familiarity with design tokens and version management tools.

  • Specialization or interest in icon, 3D design, or illustration.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive visual asset systems with clear usage principles.
