About The Role

The Central Analytics team drives evidence-based decision-making throughout Twitch. As researchers and thought leaders, we leverage foundational data, sophisticated ML models and cornerstone analyses to inform product strategy, guide business decisions, and unlock new capabilities. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative reasoning skills to design and implement data science workflows, identify key patterns within large datasets, apply appropriate statistical methods, and translate those findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

You Will:

  • Drive Twitch’s understanding of users and their activity through ownership of research projects from data collection to model development, estimation, and validation.
  • Identify and pursue projects with significant business impact, and make compelling cases for prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with specialists in data science, analytics, engineering, and economics disciplines to efficiently develop reliable and reproducible analyses at scale.

  • Maintain proficiency with version control systems to ensure collaborative development and reproducibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills on quantitative topics.
