PlayerCompass, supported by Twine, is actively seeking a highly skilled freelance web developer to spearhead the creation of a modern, scalable Minimum Viable Product (MVP) platform. This innovative platform is designed to serve academy and youth football players and their parents, offering valuable insights and tools for career development. The project is comprehensive, involving the development of both a public-facing marketing website and a secure, authenticated web application.

Marketing Website Responsibilities

The marketing website is crucial for communicating the platform’s core value, establishing credibility, and demonstrating ease of use to parents. Key sections will include a clear value proposition, identification of intended users, detailed process steps, and illustrative example outputs. The design must prioritize a clean, modern aesthetic, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across both mobile and desktop devices, with a strong focus on non-technical user experience.

Web Application Responsibilities

The authenticated web application will feature robust functionalities including user registration and secure login, a customized player intake questionnaire, and integration with API-based AI for sophisticated career analysis (without requiring custom machine learning development). It will also generate comprehensive career reports, complete with PDF export capabilities, and incorporate Stripe for both one-off and subscription payment processing. A user-friendly, basic admin dashboard will be developed for platform management. A fundamental requirement for the architecture is scalability and thorough documentation to facilitate future handovers and iterative development. Prior experience with SaaS or data-driven advisory platforms is essential, alongside a keen focus on user experience tailored for parents and young players.
