About the role
Social Media Manager - Remote Entry-Level
This role is ideal for a creative social media professional passionate about the wedding industry and personal branding. You will collaborate with a Christchurch-based wedding celebrant and MC to maintain and grow engagement with engaged couples throughout the winter months in Canterbury. The focus is on developing a content plan from June to December, crafting authentic and personality-driven posts, and proposing content themes that resonate with the target audience. You will play a key role in building brand presence, showcasing warmth and professionalism, and suggesting strategies for audience growth on Instagram and other relevant platforms.
Deliverables
- Develop a comprehensive content calendar for June to December, tailored to the wedding and event sector.
- Create engaging, personality-driven social media posts that reflect the celebrant’s unique style and voice.
- Propose relevant content themes and strategies to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Design visually appealing Canva templates for consistent branding (if required).
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to refine content and strategy.
- Suggest and implement effective tactics for audience growth and community interaction.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing social media for wedding, event, or personal brands.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft authentic, engaging content.
- Proficiency with Instagram, including content planning, posting, and engagement strategies.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools for creating branded templates.
- Understanding of the New Zealand wedding market is highly desirable.
