About the Role: Mixing Engineer
A young, emerging artist from Bristol is seeking a skilled Mixing Engineer to bring a 6-song EP to life. The project aims to define a unique sound that is rhythmic, summery, and catchy, drawing inspiration from artists such as Dominic Fike, Bakar, and Kevin Abstract. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of musicality and the technical expertise to ensure each track is polished, energetic, and industry-ready. The final mixes must translate seamlessly across various listening environments, including car stereos, headphones, radio, phone speakers, and larger sound systems. This is an opportunity to collaborate on a project that balances clarity, rawness, and personality, helping to shape the sonic identity of an up-and-coming artist.
Responsibilities
- Mix six original tracks for an EP, ensuring a cohesive and professional sound throughout
- Work closely with the artist to understand and achieve the desired sonic vision
- Balance live instruments and vocals to create a polished yet lively mix
- Apply creative effects and processing to enhance the rhythmic and summery feel of the songs
- Ensure mixes are optimized for multiple playback systems, including car, headphones, radio, and speakers
- Provide revisions based on feedback to achieve the best possible result
- Prepare final mixes for mastering and distribution
