This remote Game Developer role at Twine involves creating a technical prototype for an innovative motion-controlled adventure game on iOS or Android. The successful candidate will deliver a fully functional motion tracking system, complete with calibration, stable performance, and clear motion input mechanisms. The prototype must be readily deployable via TestFlight for iOS or APK/Test distribution for Android, engineered for extended, stable operation. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Develop a Unity 6 (LTS) prototype supporting body tracking using AR Foundation with ARKit (iOS) or ARCore (Android); MediaPipe Pose may be utilized for Android.
  • Implement calibration systems and a modular architecture to facilitate easy future feature expansion.
  • Ensure responsive and stable avatar control driven by real-time body motion input.
  • Provide comprehensive source code, clear build instructions, a detailed performance report, and a thorough testing checklist.
  • Optimize the prototype for stable operation over extended periods and meet all specified performance and user experience (UX) requirements.
  • Prepare the prototype for future enhancements and the addition of new features.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience developing mobile games or interactive prototypes in Unity (preferably Unity 6 LTS).
  • Strong knowledge of AR Foundation, ARKit, ARCore, and/or MediaPipe Pose for body tracking.
