About the Freelance Video Editor Role at Twine
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Freelance Video Editor with a passion for sports and social media content. You will play a pivotal role in creating engaging short-form videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. Your focus will be on crafting dynamic edits, including skill breakdowns, striking before/after transformations, and captivating behind-the-scenes workflow footage. The aim is to produce content that boasts a professional, cinematic style, characterized by clean cuts, compelling hooks, and consistent captions.
As a Freelance Video Editor, you will be instrumental in refining and maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all video content. You will work closely with clear briefs and have the opportunity to build a long-term creative partnership with Twine.
Key Deliverables
- Edit 2–4 short-form videos per week, each 30–60 seconds long, specifically for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Implement modern editing techniques, emphasizing strong hooks, dynamic pacing, and engaging transitions.
- Add consistent captions, apply light color grading, and integrate subtle sound design to significantly enhance viewer engagement.
- Collaborate effectively to refine and uphold a consistent visual style across all content.
- Deliver polished, professional videos that compellingly showcase workflow, photo edits, and exclusive behind-the-scenes sports content.
Requirements for a Freelance Video Editor
- Proven experience in editing short-form social media videos, with a preference for TikTok or Instagram Reels content.
- A strong understanding of current editing trends, effective pacing strategies, and methods for audience engagement.
- Proficiency with industry-standard video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clean, modern cuts with meticulous attention to detail in captions, color grading, and sound design.
- Excellent communication skills and a receptive attitude towards feedback for continuous style refinement.
- Reliable availability for ongoing collaboration, committing to 2–4 videos per week.
- Preferably located in a similar time zone to facilitate smoother communication and collaboration.
