As the primary Freelance Video Editor, you will transform philosophical conversations and nature footage, filmed at a 160-acre retreat center in the Blue Ridge Mountains, into cinematic and meaningful content. The focus is on creating long-form video essays for YouTube and podcasts, as well as short, impactful clips for social media. The ideal candidate will curate an authentic, tranquil, and reflective atmosphere, using expert color grading, soundscapes, and thoughtful pacing to evoke a sense of peace and connection. Your storytelling skills will be essential in weaving together narrative threads that resonate with viewers and establish a distinctive, soulful brand presence.
Deliverables
- Edit long-form video essays and podcast episodes, ensuring a cohesive and cinematic narrative.
- Create short, impactful video clips optimized for social media platforms.
- Curate and enhance soundscapes to support a tranquil and reflective mood.
- Apply expert color grading and visual effects to elevate the footage.
- Collaborate on the selection and sequencing of footage to highlight philosophical themes and natural beauty.
