Overview
The Freelance DevOps Engineer is focused on supporting and optimizing cloud infrastructure for a high-impact project at Twine. This fully remote role spans 6–12 months, with a potential extension based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Administer Ubuntu/Linux servers and support Windows Server environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Develop and manage containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support PHP/Magento environments ensuring high availability and security.
- Write automation scripts to streamline operational processes.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
- Optionally support Microsoft Azure environments if required.
- Ensure best practices in security, backup, and disaster recovery.
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud services.
- Strong expertise in Ubuntu/Linux administration; familiarity with Windows Server is a plus.
- Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience supporting PHP/Magento environments.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is a bonus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Availability for a 6–12 month freelance contract, with potential for extension.
