This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the visual identity of a new Spanish gourmet food brand entering the Japanese market. The focus is on developing a premium yet accessible brand presence, starting with Iberian jamón and expanding to a broader range of gourmet products. The ideal Brand Designer will blend Spanish authenticity with design sensibilities that resonate with Japanese consumers, ensuring the brand stands out on shelves and as a gift option. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of brand and packaging design, from concept to execution, playing a pivotal role in the brand’s market introduction and growth.
Deliverables
- Develop a comprehensive brand concept and visual identity tailored to the Japanese market.
- Design a distinctive logo that reflects Spanish heritage and appeals to local consumers.
- Create packaging designs for food products, including primary and secondary packaging.
- Design gift-ready packaging formats suitable for retail and e-commerce.
- Prepare print-ready files and collaborate with suppliers to ensure production quality.
- Present design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
Requirements
- Proven experience in brand and packaging design, preferably within the food or consumer goods sector.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating visual identities and packaging for international markets.
- Deep understanding of both Spanish and Japanese design aesthetics and cultural nuances.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Ability to deliver high-quality, print-ready artwork and manage the production process.
