Join our award-winning game development team and help create our next hit title. We're looking for a Tools Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain tools across the Unreal Engine ecosystem that empower artists, designers, and engineers to do their best work. You'll collaborate closely with all disciplines to understand their needs and deliver solutions that make development faster and more enjoyable.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to and understand the needs of the content creation staff to help design and create new tools/pipelines as needed
  • Maintain and extend existing tools to meet the needs of the project and team
  • Create tools that make content creation easy for internal and external folks
  • Document tools and proactively communicate new updates
  • Diagnose and solve complex problems with most unreal engine editor systems
  • Participate in studio playtests

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional tools programming experience
  • Proficiency in C#, C/C++, and Visual Studio
  • Experience in extending & implementing Unreal slate controls
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong drive to bring things to completion
  • Solid math skills

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience with writing shell scripts and/or other tools to automate tasks
  • Experience building WinForms/Wpf/Blazor applications
  • Experience with Sql and building/extending databases
  • Experience with designing/extending Web APIs a plus
  • Prior experience shipping a multiplatform title
  • Previous work on Multiplayer Action Games and FPS's a plus
