Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction is responsible for managing large-scale construction projects in Reno, Nevada with the Data Center team. The role involves stakeholder management, progress tracking, cost control and providing expert technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chain partners.
  • Analyze, track, and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
  • Implement effective project governance, processes and systems.
  • Produce formal project status reports and additional required documentation.
  • Monitor multiple construction projects ensuring compliance with approved design standards.
  • Coordinate monthly and weekly reviews with suppliers through trackers and meetings.
  • Facilitate the flow of project information through regular meetings and communications.
  • Forecast and update key project milestones and manage local design teams.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and stakeholders.
  • Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field; advise on cost control, value engineering, and constructability.
  • Independently review status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs.
  • Develop excellent client relationships to maximize new opportunities.
  • Offer strategic advice to align project execution with business objectives.
  • Capture key project learnings and information for knowledge management.
  • Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes, and adhere to SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8-10 years of project management experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong organizational, management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
