About the role
Summer Intern - Turkish Philanthropy Funds
Turkish Philanthropy Funds is offering a hybrid Summer Internship Program for Summer 2026. This program is designed for high school and college students interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, communications, partnerships, grantmaking, and social impact work.
Each internship lasts 2 to 4 weeks and is structured around real project-based learning within different departments of TPF. Interns are expected to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Internship Departments & Responsibilities
- Outreach: Support donor engagement, data organization, and stewardship activities. Maintain accurate information systems and assist with communication and engagement efforts.
- Institutional Partnerships: Support relationship-building with institutions. Assist with research, outreach preparation, and identifying potential partners aligned with TPF’s mission.
- Foundation Relations: Support research on foundations and funding opportunities aligned with TPF’s focus areas, including gender equality, education, and social impact.
- Programs: Support internal program operations and data management, including uploading grants to Salesforce and assisting with a new internal file management system. (College students only)
- Communications: Support TPF’s brand and communications efforts. Assist with content organization, digital assets, and maintaining/updating content on WordPress.
- Earthquake Fund: Support the coordination and tracking of program documentation and reporting processes related to the Earthquake Fund.
- AI: Explore and integrate emerging technologies to support TPF’s work. Conduct research on AI tools and trends, identify practical applications for the Executive Director, and recommend ways to improve efficiency, communications, and impact. (College students only, studying computer science, data science, or Artificial Intelligence)
Qualifications
- High school or college student
- GPA of at least 3.5
- Ability to commit to a 2–4 week internship period and a minimum of 4 hours a day
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Interest in nonprofit work, social impact, education, communications, or global development is strongly encouraged.
