Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing key business challenges, driving the product roadmap, overseeing execution, and optimizing operational processes. You will act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Problem Definition & Analysis: Lead the identification and definition of complex business challenges, whether they arise from delivery challenges (resource bottlenecks, technical obstacles) or customer-side issues (usability, satisfaction). Break down these challenges into smaller, manageable components and align teams toward clear goals and outcomes.
- Product Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain the product roadmap, aligning it with organizational goals. Adjust and adapt the roadmap based on changing business priorities, feedback from stakeholders, or unforeseen challenges.
- Customer-Centric Product Development: Develop a deep understanding of the product's value to customers and clients. Ensure the product addresses customer pain points and drives business growth. Ensure that features and updates meet customer expectations.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the execution of operational processes, ensuring all teams are aligned and accountable for meeting program objectives. Track progress and continually optimize workflows to enhance productivity and performance.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Actively manage relationships with key stakeholders, including development teams, designers, marketing, sales, customer support, and leadership. Facilitate clear and effective communication across teams to ensure alignment on goals and progress.
- Program Strategy & Reporting: Articulate complex business problems, product strategies, and program progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Provide regular updates on program status, roadblocks, and solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to improve the product and processes, drawing from customer feedback, performance metrics, and lessons learned. Drive ongoing optimization efforts to enhance product performance and user experience.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Program Management & Product Management experience at a high-growth product-based startup, preferably at the intersection of technology and operations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and analyze complex business challenges (e.g., technical, operational, or client issues) and break them into smaller, manageable problems.
- Roadmap & Strategic Planning: Experience creating and maintaining a product roadmap, adjusting it based on changing priorities, feedback, and unforeseen challenges.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, including developers, designers, marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Operational Leadership: Experience in overseeing the execution of operational processes and improving workflows for maximum efficiency.
Technical Skills:
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using tools such as JIRA to manage tasks, track progress, and report on project status.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- SQL: Strong understanding of SQL for querying databases and analyzing data.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with the technical aspects of product development, including software architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, to effectively communicate with development teams.
