Original Job Summary
Associate Analyst
Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of strategies and procedures to manage approximately 56,000 railcars in North America’s multi-level fleet. This role involves customer account management, preparation of distribution and performance reports, and effective communication with both internal teams and external shippers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly distribution and KPI reports using tools like Excel and InfoAssist.
- Assess fleet utilization and advise management on deficits/surpluses.
- Manage shipper accounts and empty railcar queues, ensuring supply balance.
- Gather, analyze, and present data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in updating railcar information and supporting special projects using Business Intelligence tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and 1-2 years experience or equivalent education experience combination. Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, Tableau, and SAS is preferred.
Physical and Work Requirements
General office environment with occasional travel. The role requires routine communication, sitting, light lifting, and proper vision capabilities.
