The Role of a Growth Marketing Manager, Influencer & Creator at TryHackMe
TryHackMe is the fastest-growing online cyber security training platform, dedicated to making learning and teaching cyber security easier through gamified exercises and challenges. With over 6 million community members, our growth is continuous.
We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager, Influencer & Creator to establish and expand TryHackMe’s influencer and creator-led growth engine. Given that trust and credibility are paramount at TryHackMe, our most effective growth stems from educators, practitioners, creators, and builders who genuinely use and endorse our platform. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of influencer, creator, and affiliate-style programs designed to boost awareness, user acquisition, and sustained adoption. You will collaborate closely with the Brand, Content, Community, and Product Marketing teams to transform creators into authentic advocates, converting this advocacy into measurable growth. This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing.
What You Will Do
Influencer & Creator Strategy
- Own TryHackMe’s influencer and creator growth strategy, specifically targeting:
- Cybersecurity educators and trainers
- Practitioners and professionals
- Technical creators across platforms like YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and various blogs
- Identify, recruit, and onboard creators who align with TryHackMe’s mission, values, and target audience.
- Define creator tiers, engagement models, incentives, and lifecycle programs to foster long-term partnerships.
Campaigns, Partnerships & Execution
- Plan and execute compelling influencer-led campaigns encompassing:
- Educational content and tutorials
- Walkthroughs and challenges
- Live streams, AMAs, and community activations
- Manage end-to-end creator partnerships, from outreach and negotiation to contracts and ongoing relationship nurturing.
- Collaborate with the Community and Customer Marketing teams to integrate creators into events, hackathons, CTFs, and broader community programs.
- Ensure all creator content maintains authenticity, technical credibility, and brand consistency.
Measurement, Attribution & Growth Impact
- Establish clear success metrics for influencer and creator programs, including:
- Traffic, sign-ups, activation, and paid conversion rates
- Content performance and engagement levels
- Cost efficiency and Return on Investment (ROI)
- Oversee tracking, attribution, and reporting for all creator-driven growth initiatives.
- Conduct experiments across various creators, content formats, and platforms to identify and scale effective growth levers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Brand and Content teams to ensure creator narratives align seamlessly with broader campaigns and product launches.
- Work with the Community team to develop creators into long-term advocates and community leaders.
- Share valuable insights on audience behavior, content performance, and channel opportunities across the entire organization.
What You Will Bring
Essential Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience in growth marketing, influencer marketing, or partnerships, ideally within SaaS, tech, or education sectors.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling creator or influencer programs with tangible, measurable growth impact.
- A strong understanding of major creator platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.
- Data-driven approach with hands-on experience in tracking attribution, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Strong judgment regarding brand safety, content authenticity, and cultivating long-term creator value.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity, developer tools, or technical education.
- Familiarity with affiliate, referral, or ambassador-style growth programs.
- Experience working with community-driven or Product-Led Growth (PLG) products.
- Startup or scale-up experience, comfortable owning strategy from end-to-end.
- Creative, experimental mindset with a bias toward rapid iteration and learning.
