About Founding Engineer
Ruleforge is a detection engineering startup backed by TryHackMe. SOC teams are drowning in noise and false alerts, and Ruleforge aims to change that with better detection rules that allow teams to focus on real threats.
What Makes This Role Unique
You will be the first engineer to write the initial code and shape the technical DNA of Ruleforge. This role offers:

What You’ll Do
- Build, test, and deploy the MVP addressing core customer problems
- Take technical ownership including language, frameworks, and infrastructure decisions
- Ship rapidly, collect feedback, and continuously iterate
- Shape the engineering culture and technical direction
Who We’re Looking For
- A proven full-stack engineer with strong infrastructure fundamentals
- Experience in 0→1 product development in a startup or high-pressure environment
- Someone security curious with exposure to SIEMs and SOC workflows
- A customer-minded individual who translates user feedback into technical solutions
- Founder pace mentality – ready to work intensely with high rewards
The Journey Ahead
Short term: Build and ship the MVP for real SOC teams. Mid term: Scale the product and grow the team. Long term: Define the technical vision as Ruleforge becomes the detection backbone for SOCs.
