Overview
Trust Automation, with over 30 years of experience in custom motors, linear drives, digital drives, and system solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality across products and processes, and includes managing non-conformances, leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and conducting in-depth root cause analyses.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with standards, develop QMS documentation, conduct internal audits, and support external audits.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and investigate non-conformities and implement CAPA.
Material Review Board (MRB) Activities: Organize and lead MRB meetings, collaborate on the resolution of non-conforming materials, and maintain records.
Root Cause Analysis: Lead RCA investigations, use quality tools, document findings, and verify corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality performance data, lead improvement projects, and cultivate a continuous improvement culture.
Supplier Quality Management: Audit and evaluate suppliers, address supplier non-conformances, and drive improvements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain quality documentation and prepare performance reports.
Customer Interaction: Act as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and manage complaint resolution via root cause analysis.
Training and Mentoring: Develop quality training programs and mentor junior staff.
Risk Management & New Product Introduction (NPI): Assess risks, implement mitigation strategies, collaborate during product development, and conduct first article inspections.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 3+ years quality engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor or aerospace industries.
- Experience with MRB, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and supplier quality management.
- Proficient with quality tools like RCA, FMEA, SPC and CAPA.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Primarily office-based with regular visits to manufacturing areas; occasional travel.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar certifications are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to hear, speak, and exchange information.
- Dexterity for operating computers and assembling items.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
Remuneration
Annual salary ranges from $85,529.60 to $100,000.00. The effective salary used for estimation in listings is set at 100,000.
