Overview

The Product Manager at Trupanion will lead the execution of our Veterinary/Breeder/Shelter product. You are responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the US. Candidates in the greater Seattle area will enjoy a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence at our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into technical specifications and clear user stories.
  • Prioritize bug fixes, compliance features, and new requests based on impact.
  • Manage backlog and sprint planning considering mandatory delivery dates.
  • Oversee release planning, execution, and validation ensuring quality.
  • Lead error triage sessions and track bug trends and resolutions.
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Create wireframes/UX for seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Monitor KPIs, utilize analytics and feedback to refine product features.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, SharePoint, or similar tools.
  • Strong grounding in Agile and Scrum methodologies with SaaS delivery experience.
  • Solid technical background with understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, APIs).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and UX/UI design principles.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually. In addition, monthly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units vesting over 4 years and a comprehensive benefits package including full medical benefits, generous PTO, and unique Seattle office perks.
