True Anomaly is seeking a Flight Software Intern to support the design, integration, and testing of flight software for spacecraft programs. This role will provide hands-on experience in the aerospace industry working alongside experienced engineers in an innovative environment.

Your Mission as a Flight Software Intern
Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will:
- Support the software development lifecycle for flight computers
- Assist with integration of complex algorithms into flight software
- Contribute to command telemetry database definitions for mission tests
- Collaborate with multiple teams to support end-to-end mission development
- Help develop and test command scripts and sequencing logic
- Assist in developing subsystem models and simulators
- Implement and test device drivers and communication protocols
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
- Experience in embedded systems, low-level or real-time software
- Familiarity with C or C++ and basic Python skills
- Understanding of operating systems or real-time concepts through academic work
- Ability to learn quickly and work within a collaborative team environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Internship, research, or project experience in embedded software or robotics
- Knowledge of embedded interfaces and protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, Ethernet)
- Exposure to Linux or embedded Linux environments
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Practical interest in space systems, autonomous systems, or mission-critical software
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers or hardware bring-up activities
Compensation
The position offers $28 per hour.
Additional Information
This internship complies with U.S. Government space technology export regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet the required citizenship or authorization criteria.
