Position Summary

The Firewall Engineer - Senior Information Security is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cybersecurity technologies to strengthen our security posture. The role emphasizes Palo Alto expertise, incident response and defense-in-depth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security controls for systems and networks.
• Manage and maintain security tools including firewall policies and configurations such as DMZ, NAT, SSL decryption, and access control.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate security operations.
• Document system hardening and incident response procedures.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations team and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in cybersecurity roles with strong security certifications (e.g., PCNSE, SANS, ISC2).
• Expertise in Palo Alto firewall management along with EDR, DLP, networking, and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and system integration.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The role is remote for U.S. candidates (excluding AK, DE, ID, ND, RI, VT, WY). Typical office environment conditions apply including extended computer use and occasional physical requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $126,400 - $195,900. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, and 401k among others.
