The Associate Director/Director, IT Data and Analytics role is a hands-on leadership position at our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility. This position drives the development, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives, modern data architectures, and advanced AI/ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute data and analytics roadmap; promote data driven decisions across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Finance; manage a high-performing team.
  • Data Architecture & Engineering: Oversee enterprise data platforms including data lake, warehouse, and pipelines; integrate data from diverse sources (ERP, CRM, LIMS, EDC, PV systems); implement modern architectures such as ELT, cloud-native, and serverless.
  • Analytics, BI & AI/ML: Lead reporting and dashboarding initiatives using Power BI and Tableau; partner with business units for KPIs and predictive models; evaluate and deploy AI/ML solutions.
  • Governance, Compliance & Security: Drive data governance including stewardship, master data management, and metadata management; ensure compliance with GxP, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR; collaborate with InfoSec and Compliance.
  • Vendor & Project Management: Manage vendor relationships, project planning, budgeting, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or related field is required. Candidates must have over 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in data & analytics leadership roles, with strong experience in architecting enterprise scale data platforms, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and modern data tools (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt). Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and dashboard tools such as Power BI and Tableau is required. Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare is strongly preferred.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

This is a hybrid role requiring local candidates to work primarily from the NJ office, with non-local candidates expected on-site multiple times a month. The anticipated salary range is between $180K and $250K per year, with base salary determined by candidate experience and industry standards.
