Our content department is seeking a Spanish Editor, Mexico to join the Curriculum team, focusing on content for our students in Latin America.

What you will do as a Spanish Editor, Mexico

• Work within our AI-powered workflow (Smartcat, HeyGen, Notion) to meticulously edit text and video translations.
• Review fully assembled courses to ensure completeness, preservation of meaning, and consistent terminology.
• Edit scripts specifically for video dubbing and voiceovers.
• Collaborate closely with the second Spanish editor and the broader curriculum team to uphold rigorous quality standards.
• Actively maintain and update the Spanish glossary and style guide.
• Operate autonomously after onboarding, consistently delivering high-quality results within 1–2 revision cycles.

Requirements

• Native Mexican Spanish speaker, possessing impeccable grammar and sophisticated style.
• English proficiency at B2 level minimum.
• Professional experience in editing, localization, or translation within the field of education, online-learning, or media. (Experience limited to journalism, marketing, or technical documentation alone is not sufficient.)
• Strong focus on editing and proofreading for clarity, structural integrity, learner engagement, and comprehensive understanding.
• Proven experience working with texts designated for video dubbing and voiceovers.
• Demonstrated experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g., Smartcat or similar).
• Ability to diligently follow style guides, maintain terminology consistency, and manage glossaries across extensive content volumes.
• Comfortable and proficient working within AI-assisted localization workflows.
• Capability to work autonomously at a Mid+ / Senior level, taking full ownership after a brief onboarding period and producing high-quality outcomes with minimal revision cycles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with editing AI-generated texts.
• Familiarity with technical terminology in data analysis, machine learning, AI, or business-related topics.
