  • Supporting students by answering questions on Discord, providing clear explanations, and fostering active participation within the learning community.
  • Helping students understand log analysis and incident investigation, identifying suspicious patterns and connecting findings with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Guiding students in basic scripting with Python for security tasks, such as processing logs, counting events, and extracting relevant information.
  • Acting as a trusted mentor, helping beginners navigate their learning process and develop confidence in cybersecurity fundamentals.

Requirements for the Cybersecurity Tutor Role

We require at least 3 years of practical experience in cybersecurity, with knowledge in the following areas:

  • Network & Architecture: Understanding of flat vs. segmented networks, DMZ, and strategies to reduce attack surface and blast radius.
  • Authentication & Access Abuse: Knowledge of risks related to privileged access, RDP usage, and suspicious data exports.
  • Incident Analysis: Ability to investigate events like failed login attempts, password resets, and suspicious account activity using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Log Analysis: Experience analyzing system and security logs to detect anomalies or suspicious behaviors.
  • Python Scripting: Ability to write scripts that process logs, count events, and extract useful information.
  • Capacity to explain complex technical concepts clearly to beginners.
  • Patience and empathy when supporting students new to cybersecurity.
  • B1 English level.
