Role Overview
We are seeking a creative Senior Level Designer to join our team and contribute to our successful titles. In this exciting role, you will:
- Craft, design, and analyze levels for existing and future games, contributing to their continued success.
- Evaluate player data, identify trends, and optimize level funnels for retention and monetization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers to align level design with overall product goals.
- Analyze level data to identify high-churn points and other friction in the funnel, then propose clear, data-informed hypotheses and experiments to improve performance.
- Playtest a wide range of in-development games, providing structured, actionable feedback on level pacing, difficulty curves, challenge, rewards, and overall player experience.
- Work with data partners to frame the right questions, refine tracking needs, and interpret results to continuously iterate on level design.
- Communicate level design insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to non-design stakeholders, ensuring decisions are understood and executed effectively.
- Act as a consultant/subject-matter expert: reviewing builds, giving structured feedback, defining experiments, and driving best practices in level design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and staying organized in a fast-moving environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 3+ years of experience as a level designer, or in a similar field.
- Deep understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and monetization, particularly in mobile genres.
- Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to align design with the product vision.
- Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends.
- Experience with balancing levels and funnel optimization.
- Familiarity with Unity 3D editors is a plus but not mandatory.
