About Tripledot Studios

Tripledot is one of the largest independent mobile games companies globally, with a multi-award-winning team of over 2,500 across 12 studios. Our portfolio includes top-charting mobile games, engaging over 25 million daily active users. We believe that when people love what they do, their work will be loved by others. We are building a company proud of its driven, smart, and detail-oriented people who love making games, with the ambition to be the most successful games company in the world.

This role is with Clipwire Games, one of Canada's top-grossing mobile game developers and creator of titles like Monopoly: Bingo!, TPIR: Bingo!, and Bingo Story. Founded over 10 years ago in Toronto, Clipwire Games is poised for continued record growth, built on strong values, work ethic, and data-driven intelligence. We support, promote, and develop our team to enable them to create great games.

Role Overview: Junior Data Analyst

Clipwire Games is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our data team and provide crucial insights to the Product organization, helping us develop better games. This role is perfect for someone early in their analytics career eager to grow their skills in a dynamic, data-rich environment.

You will collaborate with experienced analysts to maintain reports, investigate player behavior, and contribute to the data foundations informing product decisions across our titles. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on work with SQL and BI tools, ensuring key metrics are accurate, identifying anomalies, and documenting processes to keep the team running efficiently.

We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly, and is excited by the prospect of becoming a well-rounded analyst in the exciting games industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain dashboards and reports, ensuring core product KPIs remain accurate and up to date.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to support regular reporting and ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Monitor key metrics such as DAU, retention, session length, and conversion, flagging anomalies to senior team members.
  • Conduct player behavior analyses under guidance, exploring retention, progression, and monetisation funnels.
  • Support in-game event instrumentation by helping document tracking requirements with designers and feature owners.
  • Assist in investigating data issues, gathering relevant information, and escalating findings with clear context.
  • Create and maintain documentation on deliverables, metric definitions, and data sources.
  • Manage personal workload effectively and communicate progress to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Foundational SQL skills – ability to extract, filter, and aggregate data from relational databases.
  • Familiarity with at least one BI or visualization tool (Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying basic trends, anomalies, and patterns.
  • Methodical approach to data validation and quality checking with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to summarise findings in an accessible way.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in developing technical and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage personal workload, prioritize tasks, and escalate blockers in a timely manner.
  • Basic understanding of mobile game metrics such as DAU, retention, and session length.
