Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Resident Specialist (Leasing Consultant) to join our team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents at our affordable apartment complex.
Key Responsibilities
- Leasing: Conduct property tours, showcase amenities, and handle prospect inquiries.
- Application Processing: Screen applicants, verify income eligibility, and process documentation in compliance with affordable housing regulations.
- Resident Relations: Address resident concerns, coordinate maintenance requests, and foster positive community engagement.
- Compliance: Maintain records, adhere to LIHTC, Section 8 and other guidelines, and prepare audit reports.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage lease agreements, renewals, move-in/move-out processes, and file updates.
Requirements
Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organized work habits with attention to detail, and previous experience in leasing, customer service, or sales. Proficiency in technology and record-keeping software, with Yardi experience as a plus, is required. A high school diploma is necessary, along with proficiency in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants preferred. Drug and background testing is required.
