Job Description
Position Summary
The Anesthesia Tech plans, coordinates, and provides assistance to the Department of Anesthesia based on the patient’s age, diagnosis, and physical status.
Duties
- Calibrate anesthesia machines
- Troubleshoot problems with machines
- Stock anesthesia supplies
- Turn over circuit, wipe down machine and lines between surgeries
- Spike lines
- Take specimens to the lab
- Assist in emergencies
- Set up rapid infuser
- Set up for cases in other procedural sites in the hospital
- Check expiration dates
- Run blood gases and glucose checks
- Assist with other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience
- BLS certification
