Overview
The Mechanical Engineer Aerospace Tooling role at TriMech is a remote opportunity for experienced engineers with aerospace tooling design expertise. This flexible position offers 20 to 40 hours per week and requires U.S. Citizenship.

Position Overview
In this role, you will design and develop aerospace tooling and equipment including form tools, inspection gauges, die sets, and weld fixtures. You will support projects that include metal and composite fabrication, CNC machining, 3D printing, and more. The candidate must have strong CAD skills and be comfortable working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop aerospace tools such as form tools, inspection gauges, die sets, and weld fixtures
- Create 2D/3D drawings and specifications using SOLIDWORKS
- Revise and update tool designs and documentation as necessary
- Design locating and pinning tools for aircraft components
- Collaborate with internal teams while working independently
Technical Skills

- Experience with CNC machining, metal and composite fabrication, and 3D printing
- Familiarity with sheet metal design (approximately 5% of workload)
