As the Virtual Learning Assistant at Virtual Learning Assistant, you will help maintain an energetic atmosphere and ensure smooth operations in a revolutionary virtual charter school.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops with breakout sessions and group activities.
  • Inspiring students via chats, shout-outs, and check-ins.
  • Ensuring students remain engaged, confident, and connected.
  • Supporting lead educators with essential behind-the-scenes tasks.
  • Acting as a cultural ambassador in student clubs and life skills programs.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Instructing academic subjects or delivering content.
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating assignments.
  • Designing curriculum or independently leading workshops.
  • Remaining passive in your role.

Virtual Learning Assistant Key Responsibilities

Enhance engaging virtual learning experiences by helping students stay focused, organized, and energized throughout each workshop session.

Basic Requirements

  • Available 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, US Mountain Time (UTC-7).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership.
  • Educational background in the US, Canadian, or UK school systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with digital platforms.
  • Energetic, student-centered approach with attention to detail.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Familiarity with online learning tools or youth enrichment initiatives.
  • Experience with after-school programs, summer camps, or club leadership.

About Unbound Academy

Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school for grades 4-8, where core academics are mastered in just two hours a day using AI-powered tools, complemented by immersive workshops that nurture life skills and personal growth.

Working with Us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) long-term position. You will work as an independent contractor with Crossover as the Contractor of Record. Compensation is $20 USD/hour, equating to approximately $40,000 USD/year.
