Your role is critical in ensuring campuses open legally, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You Will Be Doing

You will make calls, file paperwork, and secure approvals by researching local licensing, permitting, and inspection requirements. Responsibilities include:

• Using AI tools and official resources to create actionable plans.
• Fostering trust with city and state agencies through calls, emails, and visits.
• Preparing and submitting precise filings while tracking them until approved.
• Maintaining up-to-date dashboards and documentation for leadership.
• Engaging in rapid learning with hands-on support and coaching during the first 90 days.

What You Won’t Be Doing

You will not rely on guesswork, wait for instructions, create generic content, or get mired in abstract policy discussions. The role also does not require constant travel beyond specified obligations.

Regulatory & Permitting Specialist Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely and compliant campus openings by blending AI-assisted research with effective coordination and strong relationship-building skills.

Basic & Nice-to-have Requirements

Must reside in the U.S. with legal authorization to work without visa sponsorship. Availability to travel 50–75% of the time is required. Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude is essential. Exceptional communication skills, precise attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple timelines are crucial. Experience in compliance, operations, public policy, communications, business, or legal studies is a plus.
