The Director of Academic Excellence role at 2 Hour Learning is a leadership mandate that defines and drives a bold academic vision. You will lead the transformation of learning science into practical, operational frameworks for breakthrough academic outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
You will create academic frameworks that translate learning science into practical guidance, lead academic execution reviews, synthesize data into actionable insights, and drive strategic alignment. Additionally, you will represent 2 Hour Learning externally at key events and high-level meetings.
- Develop practical academic frameworks.
- Lead and review academic execution.
- Analyze data to identify learning gaps.
- Facilitate strategic planning and milestone tracking.
- Represent the organization on global stages.
What You Won't Be Doing
You won't focus on isolated curriculum projects, publish abstract research, delegate accountability to middle managers, or rely solely on brand reputation to persuade stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Scale and elevate 2 Hour Learning's academic model by unifying school executions, strengthening leadership standards, and serving as the public voice for transformative learning science.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, or similar.
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with proven outcomes.
- Experience applying AI and technology to accelerate learning.
- Public thought leadership via media, keynotes, or publications.
- Strong performance management and data interpretation skills.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience founding or leading innovative school models or EdTech ventures.
- Ability to navigate complex cultural and international educational contexts.
- Familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and mastery learning frameworks.
About 2 Hour Learning
2 Hour Learning is revolutionizing education with AI-driven personalized learning that accelerates student progress, consistently delivering outstanding results in a radically reimagined academic landscape.
Working with Us
This is a full-time, long-term independent contractor position through Crossover, with a compensation rate of $200 USD per hour, equivalent to $400,000 USD/year.
