Position Overview
The Industry Marketing Manager at Travel Oregon facilitates industry alignment through comprehensive marketing programs, brand marketing education, and collaboration across Travel Oregon's established programs. Reporting to the Director of Brand Stewardship Services, the role is responsible for aligning departmental and agency goals with strategic industry initiatives while working closely with the Brand Services Manager.
Job Scope & Responsibilities
This role involves managing cross-functional projects with internal and external partners in a moderately complex environment. The incumbent is tasked with developing marketing programs, crafting communication frameworks for campaigns, and supporting local industry messages.
- Develop comprehensive marketing programs for tourism industry partners.
- Coordinate project teams and manage deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide technical assistance for leveraging marketing assets.
- Prepare and present strategic communications and reports.
- Identify process improvements and anticipate project roadblocks.
Essential Functions
The key duties include:
- Marketing Program Development: Develop marketing strategies aligning local industry needs with Travel Oregon's statewide vision.
- Project Planning and Management: Establish project plans, lead team meetings, track timelines, and adjust scope as needed.
- Communication and Reporting: Create presentations, reports, and maintain strong industry relationships.
Competencies & Qualifications
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field with at least 4 years of professional experience in marketing or advertising. Key competencies include effective communication, change agility, initiative, team collaboration, and planning. Proficiency in technology utilization and project management is essential.
Job Effort, Conditions & Benefits
This full-time, exempt position is designated as hybrid, primarily operating remotely with periodic in-office requirements in Portland. Occasional travel (< 20%) and extended work hours during peak periods may be required.
