Role Overview
The Vice President of Logistics will own and lead the end-to-end supply chain for the Take Back Business (TBB). This mission-critical role involves designing, implementing, and managing a reverse logistics network nationwide to reduce costs and minimize carbon emissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy: Define and execute Trashie’s logistics roadmap aligned with growth and sustainability goals.
- Reverse Logistics & Recycling Partnerships: Manage the full reverse logistics process from returns to facility intake.
- Supply & Inventory Assurance: Oversee inventory planning, ordering, and maintain supplier partnerships.
- Outbound Fulfillment: Manage shipping operations optimizing cost and reliability.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Oversee warehouse, order, and transportation management systems.
- Collaboration: Partner with product, technology, and customer experience teams.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Build relationships with third-party logistics, carriers, and supply chain partners.
- Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements.
- Metrics & Impact: Establish KPIs for logistics efficiency, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and sustainability outcomes.
Qualifications
Applicants should have over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, supply chain management, or reverse logistics. A proven track record in managing reverse logistics networks, deep relationships with major carriers (UPS, USPS, DHL), expertise in contract negotiation and cost reduction, and experience in designing hub strategies are essential. Strong analytical skills are required to translate logistics data into actionable strategies.
