About the Remote Scheduler Role at TransPerfect

DataForce by TransPerfect is actively seeking a highly motivated Remote Scheduler to join our team, working remotely from Australia. This freelance/independent contractor position is crucial for our Data Collection projects, specifically focusing on scheduling recording sessions in Sydney, Australia. As a Remote Scheduler, you will be the primary point of contact for potential participants, playing a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project operations, efficient appointment management, and timely achievement of project deadlines.

Engagement Details

  • Work Location: Remote in Australia
  • Engagement Model: Freelance / Independent Contractor
  • Expected Work Schedule: Approximately 4-8 hours per day, 5 days a week
  • Training: 2 days (16 hours) remote training provided
  • Expected Start Date: End of February / Beginning of March
  • Estimated Project Duration: 3-4 weeks, depending on assigned tasks
  • Compensation: Hourly rate of $35 USD
  • Language Needed: English (Australia)
  • Equipment/Devices Needed: Computer, headset, stable internet connection

Key Responsibilities of a Remote Scheduler

Your responsibilities will primarily involve direct communication with potential participants, ensuring they are properly screened and scheduled for recording sessions. You will be instrumental in maintaining high attendance rates and providing excellent pre-study support.

  • Screening applicants via phone calls and efficiently scheduling appointments based on their availability.
  • Managing the daily schedule and proactively finding replacement participants in case of cancellations to maintain project flow.
  • Sending clear and concise emails to candidates, guiding them through document signing and briefly explaining the study's purpose.
  • Sending timely reminders to candidates to minimize no-shows and encourage attendance.
  • Answering candidates' inquiries via email and calls, or skillfully redirecting them to the appropriate team members as needed.
  • Providing essential logistics information to participants.
  • Filling the session schedule days in advance and accurately reflecting project changes in scheduling, resource planning files, and study documentation.
  • Communicating and coordinating with the project team on a daily basis to ensure all information is up-to-date and consistent.

Work Requirements

To succeed in this Remote Scheduler role, you will need a strong command of Australian English, excellent organizational abilities, and a customer-centric approach to communication.

  • Native fluency in English (Australia) is essential.
  • Proficient computer skills for tasks such as data entry, report generation, and schedule creation and management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills are required to manage multiple schedules and participant interactions effectively.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, flexible, and able to quickly shift focus as project needs evolve.
  • Possess a reliable computer/laptop, a functional headset, and a stable internet connection for consistent work.
  • Outstanding customer service and excellent communication skills across phone, email, and electronic media.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ready to support moderators, project coordinators, and managers in achieving collective project goals.
