Responsibilities

The IT Service Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing IT service management governance, processes, and standards in support of the successful delivery and continuous improvement of IT services to customers. This includes designing and developing IT service management processes and driving for continuous improvement. You will liaise with customers and BTS staff to define, develop, renew, and maintain Service Level Agreements. You will establish reporting mechanisms and techniques, conduct in-depth analysis, and report on IT service management processes. Additionally, you will provide service support expertise to BTS staff and promote awareness of IT service management processes. You will also perform the role of functional lead for service management projects.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized institute of technology, including courses in business/systems analysis and the use of development tools.
  • Certifications in both ITIL Foundations and process improvement methodologies are required.

Experience

  • Requires three and a half (3.5) years of recent experience in information technology in a large enterprise environment, including two (2) years in an IT service management environment designing, transitioning, operating, and improving services.
  • A further period of up to six (6) months in the position is required to become familiar with assigned TransLink enterprise information systems, policies, procedures, environment, and its user requirements.

Other Information

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used, including general, scenario, and behavioral descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.

Employment Type: This is a full-time temporary position for seven (7) months.

Work Designation: Remote. This position offers the ability to work predominantly in a remote capacity within B.C. The business will request onsite presence at times for operational reasons.

Rate of Pay: Salary $8,236 - $9,896 per month. (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Transit Pass, and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility.
