Revenue Cycle Cash Application Specialist

Overview

Join us at Transformations Care Network (TCN) to empower individuals and improve behavioral health care. As a Revenue Cycle Cash Application Specialist, you will support various departments with essential cash posting and billing functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Balance and enter daily total deposits against billing reports.
• Process and post EFT insurance, patient, and collections payments following procedures.
• Research electronic rejections and exceptions, ensuring accurate takebacks or refunds.
• Reconcile PMS postings for month-end closing and finance accuracy.
• Communicate payment/denial patterns and resolve unidentified payments.
• Maintain updated knowledge of mental health billing and departmental policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including payer representatives.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and work overtime if necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physician billing and/or cash posting experience.
• High school diploma with a self-starter attitude.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management.
• 2-4 years of experience in physician payment posting, billing, and accounts receivable in healthcare.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative or equivalent billing certification.
