Scheduler - Transdev North America
Transdev in San Jose, CA is hiring a Scheduler to intercept customer calls and schedule transportation. We are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented people who are dedicated to safety.
Position Details
This is a CBA Position, subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $32.78 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Rate)
- Progression to $37.42 over 5 years.
Benefits Include
- Vacation: 1 week (40 hours) after 1 year, 2 weeks (80 hours) after 2 years, 3 weeks (120 hours) after 5 years, 4 weeks (160 hours) after 20 years.
- Paid Sick Leave: 5 days accrued per year of employment.
- 10 paid company holidays.
- Medical, dental & vision benefits available after 60 calendar days for full-time employees.
- All benefits are subject to Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer customer calls and input ride information using a computerized scheduling system.
- Enter new customer information and changes into the system.
- Data entry into spreadsheets and databases.
- Communicate late vehicle service and verify “No Shows” with customers.
- Resolve service-related complaints.
- Create daily route maps of reservations for drivers.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years reservationist or customer service experience.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- 100% of the job is indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
- Sit, type, and look at a computer screen for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment.
